Who We Are

KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins is a non-profit public radio station that serves the Northern Colorado region and beyond. As the voice of the community, we pride ourselves in providing a sense of place through excellent radio programming.

KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins broadcasts diverse music from around the globe and local public affairs. We air more live and local music than any other station in the region and we are proud to support non-profits, musicians, artists and our incredible community.

What We Do

WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS

KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins is volunteer powered and thus always on the look-out for community members who would like to be a part of an exciting and ever-evolving organization. There are many ways to volunteer, including event staff, on-air programming and behind the scenes and technical support. If you are interested in being involved at KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins we encourage you to fill out a VOLUNTEER APPLICATION (Previous radio experience is not required.)

WHAT’S THE PROCESS TO BECOME A DJ?

You’ll receive classroom training, as well as hands-on training with one of our qualified DJs. They’ll walk you through the basics of running the equipment and putting together a show’s worth of music or Current Affairs. Your trainer will work with you until you’re comfortable. From there, you’ll shadow, make a demo and develop a music plan.

WHAT IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE ON-AIR BUT YOU STILL WANT TO BE INVOLVED?

There’s so much more to a community radio station besides on-air programming. Whether you’re interested in working on technical aspects like production or live-sound engineering, live-event support or general office work, KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins can not only find a place for you, but train you on new skills!
