KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins is a non-profit public radio station that serves the Northern Colorado region and beyond. As the voice of the community, we pride ourselves in providing a sense of place through excellent radio programming.

KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins broadcasts diverse music from around the globe and local public affairs. We air more live and local music than any other station in the region and we are proud to support non-profits, musicians, artists and our incredible community.

The Voiceover and Underwriting Production Team helps us create underwriting for our Community Sponsors.

What is underwriting?

• As a noncommercial radio station, we cannot run "advertisements" or "commercials
• Underwriting is a simple declaration that a person or entity sponsors programming or supports the station
• FCC regulations require us to closely monitor our underwriting spots

What do the Voiceover and Underwriting Production Team do?

• A Voiceover Team Member reads a script in a friendly and conversational manner in Adobe Audition - we love when our Voiceover Team Members learn to use Adobe Audition but it is not required
• A Production Team Member uses Adobe Audition to combine the voiceover with a music bed to specific sound and mastering requirements
• Yes - you can learn how to do both voiceovers and the sound production to create underwriting spots, we love that!
